I bought this about 3 weeks ago but waited to see if the issue with the loud spinning was due to unevenness when it was installed before reviewing. The only good recommendation I have would be the warranty from Maytag (so far) and the excellent service technician from Appliance Express in Georgetown, Tx. The Maytag set I replaced was 16 years old and still operating. I purchased a new set of Maytag’s in April 2019. Lots of compliments from friends and family when they view my new set. Possibly looking to return for a different manufacturer front loader.

Terrible washer, dryer works great but the washer has constant problems. We bought this washer 2 months ago and are very happy with it. I’ve used the 12 hour refresh cycle once for a load of towels and they still smelled soured after only a few hours after the initial wash. The first washer I brought home leaked during the first load. I bought this washer because it said it was “commercial” grade and because Maytag is American made and supposedly a good brand. We purchased a new home and needed a new washer and dryer, from past experience we chose Maytag.

Awesome machine
Should have bought the units with wifi! This greatly reduces our ability to prevent wrinkling since we are unable to know when the cycle has ended. Both have adjustable cycle signals which we could not hear from an adjacent room. Last week we gave them to a charity and purchased a new, more modern set. This one cleans well, and the quick wash has been a godsend. You have to turn it off and back on, then run the cycle again.
It takes a minimum of 52 mins to do a load of normal wash. if you put it on heavy soil then it’s at 1hr 36 min. and if you use the quick wash it sets it at 20 mins on heavy soil. Sometimes the dryer spins for long periods and doesn’t wash. Sometimes on both appliances, you have to depress the 3 second countdown twice before the appliance turns on.
No, I do not recommend this product 85% of reviewers recommend this product. Next time it leaked I looked under the machine and found water coming from the back of the tub. Plumbing required the dry to be on the left and washer on the right so clothes have to be taken out and put in next to the wall. The only thing I wish was the door on the washer could have been reversed. Appreciate the service Lowe’s / Maytag provided and like the washer so far besides the minor inconvenience from the first defective one. Have had my new appliances for about a month. Really enjoying all features this washer has.
